Terms of Use
By installing or using Grant, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
What Grant is
Grant is a device automation utility that lets you configure when selected Android apps receive or lose certain permissions, based on triggers you define (e.g. Bluetooth connection, Wi‑Fi network, time schedule, location area).
Grant operates locally on your device. It is not a substitute for Android system settings, enterprise MDM, or legal compliance advice.
Eligibility
You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction. Grant involves Developer Options and wireless debugging — you should understand the risks of granting shell access on your own phone. Grant is intended for your personal device unless you have authority to manage another device.
Your responsibilities
- Own or have permission to modify the device you use Grant on.
- Are responsible for which apps receive grants and which permissions are automated.
- Will comply with applicable laws and the terms of service of apps you automate.
- Will pair wireless debugging and enable permissions only when you understand the effect.
- Will not use Grant to circumvent security, violate others’ privacy, or access data you are not entitled to.
Grant modifies third-party apps’ permissions via shell commands. Misconfiguration can break apps or expose data. You assume that risk.
Wireless debugging and shell access
Grant requires Wireless debugging (or equivalent local shell access) that you enable in Android Developer Options. You authorize Grant to use that connection only to apply the automation you configure. Grant does not grant itself elevated permissions on other devices without your pairing and configuration.
Google Play
Grant installs free from Google Play and includes a 7-day free trial. After the trial you need an active monthly or yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase, to keep using the app's configuration and automation. Without one, Grant still opens but its settings and controls stay locked.
Google Play collects payment, manages renewals, and tracks your entitlement. Grant has no account system and no payment system of its own. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them in Google Play; cancellations, refunds, and trial eligibility follow Google Play's terms. Install, updates, and store policies are handled by Google.
No warranty
Grant is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted operation, or error-free permission changes.
Automation depends on Android version, OEM behavior, battery optimizations, Bluetooth/Wi‑Fi reliability, and ADB health. Revokes may be delayed or fail if the shell link is unhealthy; Grant attempts to fail closed in those cases.
Location-area rules additionally depend on operating-system geofencing accuracy, GPS and network positioning quality, and the device location setting. Small areas are less reliable than large ones, arrival and departure may be reported late, and location automation does not run while device location is switched off — Grant revokes in that case rather than assuming your last known position.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Global Crest Solutions shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, revenue, or business, arising from use of Grant.
Total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for Grant through Google Play.
Updates
We may update Grant and these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date on this page. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
Termination
You may stop using Grant by uninstalling it. We may discontinue the app or its Play listing at any time.
Privacy
Your use is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where prohibited.
